Seattle Children's Hospital - Attending Pediatric Neuro-Oncologist, Cancer and Blood Disorders Center. Associate Professor, Hematology/Oncology. Principal Investigator, Ben Towne Center for Childhood Cancer Research. He directs the Vitanza Lab, focused on creating treatment-naïve biopsy-derived patient-derived DIPG/DMG models, discovering targetable molecular and immunologic vulnerabilities in these tumors, and translating these findings into innovative new clinical trials.

Yann is a Ph.D. candidate in Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech and Emory University, working at the intersection of physics, biology, and engineering, with a dissertation focused on ultrasound imaging of immune cell trafficking in vivo. During his M.Sc. at ETH Zürich, he conducted research at the DIPG research center in Switzerland under Dr. Javad Nazarian, including a Society for Neuro-Oncology poster on focused ultrasound and 5-ALA mediated targeting of diffuse midline glioma. He is a co-author on four papers, including in Nature Communications, and brings peer review experience from journals such as PNAS and Nature Communications.
